This fabric was designed as a tribute to the Uncle Remus books, first published in 1881, and a favourite of the Morris family.

Repeat: 15.75" (40 cm)

Both the wallpapers and fabrics have been printed to simulate an early "indigo discharge" printing method. This gives a soft outline with a pale mottled background.
