Alphonse Mucha (1860-1939) was born in Morovia (now Czechoslovakia),
but became famous in Paris of the 1890's as an illustrator and
artist in the Art Nouveau style. For six years he designed the
sets, costumes and posters for Sarah Bernhardt's shows.
These tiles feature some of Mucha's illustrations, which have
adapted to make handsome Art Nouveau tiles. They are suitable
for interiors from 1895 to about 1920.
