I am writing to let you know that our entire wallpaper

order was placed! The order is complete, the
wallpaper is lovely and your service is outstanding. Thank
you so much, it is a pleasure to do business with
your business.

Subject: Thank you!
Hi there,
I stumbled upon your website and I was very impressed. I
am nowhere near being a potential customer (I am
finishing an undergraduate degree in Fine Art History
and as such cannot afford to decorate a home), however,
I was deeply grateful that your business strives
to provide products for an art history-educated clientele.
Thank you for not only preserving some
of the finest artistic traditions in history, but
also for making them available beyond museums and
textbooks.
Sincerely, C. L. 2007
Hello,
Thank you again for your kind and meticulous attention
to what must, for you, be a very small order.
I have a friend who's reclaiming a mid-Victorian
house in downtown Vancouver: at present, it's pretty
much a shell, & they're dealing with architect & city
hall, but when she finally gets to the fun part of
decorating, I've recommended she go to your Victoria
showroom.
Sincerely, W.K. 2007
I'm thrilled that you've gone ahead and created
your own line of restored wallpapers and also a terrific
newsletter. You're a wonderful credit to the
industry. We'll have to come visit your new
location!
Best regards, B.M. 2007
I
received my fabric yesterday. Thank you very much for
all your assistance with this purchase. I cannot tell you how pleased I am at locating and purchasing this fabric.
I have been looking for two years on other web sites
for this as I just knew the fabric had to be available somewhere.
I have recommended your company to some of my friends
and I do hope they contact you.
Thanks again and I hope to deal with you again.

I’ve just bought a John Keppie / Charles Rennie
Mackintosh house in Scotland, and have been looking
for a source of decorating materials.
Yours is by far the most interesting and comprehensive
site I’ve found. A valuable resource, as well
as an easy way to view a wide selection of ‘appropriate’ – that’s
the important thing – fabrics and papers. I’ve
made a shortlist and will be back.
Cheers!

Dear Sirs:
Thank you very much for your email. Yes, the rolls
arrived safely and will soon be decorating our Betjeman
display.
Again we are extremely grateful for your help with
our exhibition and hope there might be opportunities
in the future for more collaborations between Sir John Soane Museum [London] / and yourselves.
Once again, many thanks,

Believe it or not, I sent you the previous email

am 12 rolls of William Morris wallpaper were delivered
to my door. I am quite pleased to have the

Thank you very much for getting back to me so quickly! Wow,
that's real customer service.
And thank you for the information ... and for the
good news that the tiles I'm looking for are in stock
and can ship immediately.
From my end I'm waiting for a response from my kitchen
designer about the feasibility of mounting the tiles
in a granite back splash. I should have her input
on Monday or Tuesday and will then be in a position
to make the order, which I will do on your web site.
Again, thank you very much for your quick response.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, for all that you
have done to assist me in this matter. I am
so glad to find out that there was a legitimate
problem with these rolls, and not just some strange
fluke with my installation.
I have no problem waiting for the printing of the
new rolls.
Thank you again for your excellent customer service
and follow through on this issue.

you
Dear Sir or Madam,
Recently you sent me Mackintosh tiles for my home
in Scotland. The room is near completion. I wonder
if you could suggest wallpaper and or curtain material
for the finishing's. I have included a few pictures
of the project.
We were delighted with the tiles and prompt service and placed the tiles
in a old surround. The look is spot on. We hope to create a interesting hall
that Charles Rennie Mackintosh himself would have liked.
I would be happy to purchase samples based on your
comments.
Thanks, S. L. P. 2006

Dearest [staff member],
Thank you ever so much for your very kind response
to my letter regarding your line of William Morris
print fabric yardage.
[Another source] also have some William Morris fabrics
for interior decorating, which are much higher priced
and very stunning. But they don't have nearly the
amount of Mr. Morris's fabric as your shop does.
I cannot tell you how happy you have made me, [name

Subject: You have just made
my morning!!
Good morning! I arose this a.m. with the expectation
that I would be slogging through pages of awful fabric
prints in order to find a few samples of William Morris
with which I planned to cover an original William Morris
chair.
I typed William Morris fabric into Google and up popped
your shop and I have spent a relaxing and rewarding
2 hours on your site comfy in my robe with coffee nearby. What
an educational, inspirational, and aesthetically rewarding
delight!!!
I discovered the history of half the Liberty materials
and scarves I have in our house. I've remet all
my favorite William Morris designs. I've been
introduced to a whole new bunch of Arts and Crafts
designers!!! (many from Glasgow where my grandmother
was born.) etc etc.
So thank you. I have to now rethink the
living room here. But in the meantime, I've expanded
my rethink to include new tiles around the fireplace,
tapestries and pillows....etc etc.
I wish you prosperity - at least until I've figured
out what I need to do.

Subject: my compliments
Dear Sir or Madam:
I just found your website online. Although I'm
not yet ready to order (so many choices, so little
wall-space), I just wanted to offer my compliments
on your selection of fabrics, patterns, etc. I
love the designs generated during the Arts and Crafts,
and Art Nouveau movements, and your store just takes
my breath away. I look forward to doing business with
you in the near future,
Best regards, E.J. 2004
Wow, I just found your site and love it. I need some
help though. I just bought a 1917 Craftsman home and
I need help on what colors to paint the interior. I
was looking through your fabrics because I love textiles
and working with color in my fabrics. I looked at them
all and the ones that stood out were many that had
the brick colors (Lodden, Acorn, Bird and Vine)
If I were to be using those colors in my home, what
would a good wall color to have? I have been struggling
what color to paint my walls or what color should be
the main wall color that pours through out the house.
Can I get some samples of your fabrics?
Thanks for all of your help. S.N. 2004

Bar none, yours is the loveliest collection of tiles
I have ever seen. I am looking for 1.5 by 6 tiles to
do a hearth with. The ones I am looking for are somewhat
plain, but the color is not applied evenly. (hard to
describe) They are shiny and somewhat two-tone with
areas of color and somewhat blackened color, something
in the glazing, and I have seen them in many homes
built in the WW I, or 1920's era.
Have any idea of what I'm talking about??

I recently purchased six rolls of William Morris wallpaper
from your firm.
I would just like to thank you for the excellent service
and also for the quality of the product. It was a pleasure
working with your customer service representative.
She answered all my questions and also made sure that
I felt comfortable with every aspect of the order.
I was surprised by the speed in the delivery after
I placed the order. The order arrived sooner than I
had been promised.
After finishing the wallpapering, we were quite happy
with the quality of the paper. It went up without many
problems. I am always a bit concerned when ordering

About two weeks ago I order two yards of William Morris
fabric by phone. The young woman who took my order
(I wish I recalled her name) was exceedingly polite
and helpful. A few days ago, I received another call
from another staff person (who was equally polite and
charming) to tell me the status of the order.
The parcel arrived on Saturday, and I am just thrilled
with the fabric. I sincerely hope my reupholstering
skills can live up to it! Thank you all so much for
such wonderful products and for having a staff that
understands what customer service is - a real rarity
these days. Please keep up the fine work.

I received the beautiful woodpecker tapestry for Xmas.
It’s even more wonderful than I thought it would
be. My question is this: what is the proper way to
hang it, that is, how would it have been hung. There
is an opening for a bar, but what might this have looked
like? Decorative? Hung by a cord or set on holders
of some kind? Any help you could give me would
be most welcome. Thanking you in advance.

Subject: Please advise on
Colonial Revival Home
I am not sure you can help me but I am in a bit of
a decorative crisis.
We have just purchased a wonderful example of a Colonial
Revival home circa 1906, with wonderful original woodwork,
wall paper, stained glass etc. We are going to
have a baby soon, however, and the one room that was
painted over (walls and woodwork) is precisely the
room we would like to use as the nursery.
We have been looking into vintage fabrics and period
furniture for our child's room, but we lack any clear
advice on the subject of nursery decoration during
this period. Any references or products you may
suggest would be so greatly appreciated. As workers
are peeling away layers of paint on the windows, we
hope you can help.
Your website is wonderful and a real pleasure to use.
Thank-you, E. B. 2001
I have been perusing your site and have found some
very wonderful things. Congratulations on a beautiful
inventory! I am thinking about refinishing a tabletop
with tile. I particularly love the Art Nouveau tiles-
both the moulded and the tube-lined. Can I combine
the two styles? I like some of the moulded designs
but prefer the dark brown color of the plain tiles
for my surround. Would these work together or is the
finish noticeably different? If you could please get
back to me regarding these questions, I would greatly
appreciate it. Thank you.
Sincerely, E.C. 2001
Thanks for the e-mail. My package arrived Saturday
afternoon safe and sound. Everything is beautiful! I'll
be calling next week to place an order for wallpaper.

The William Morris wallpaper you sent me is up and
it looks great. My next project is a bathroom and I
was wondering if you recommend using the wallpapers
or if I need to use fabrics for the wall?
Thank you kindly. A.J. 2001
Thank you so much for your quick reply. Every time
something like this happens I am surprised by the speed
and advantages of having access to the internet.
After your letter I went to the library and found
a book with a picture from the bedroom at “Hill
Top” [Beatrix Potter’s House in the Lake
District in England] and found that the wallpaper will
probably be the “Daisy” pattern by William
Morris. Again I thank you for your response,
and look forward to hearing from you again.

I am most impressed with the beautiful tiles and would
like to consider them to be used in our home. We have

Good afternoon:
Thank you very much for the wallpaper sample and historical
information; this will prove very helpful as we analyze
the wallpaper needs of our historic home.
Thank you again for your assistance.
Yours sincerely, J.W. 2000
Thanks so much for having taken all the time to both
e-mail and snail mail me regarding my e-mail to you.
It's customer service like yours, which will keep me
coming back (and recommending) your marvelous business!
(I wonder what William Morris would have thought
of current technology - bet he would have designed
some fantastic computer wallpaper!)
I can't wait to rid my parlor of its unfortunate paper.
My parlor set is Renaissance Revival, upholstered in
cream, rose and ivy green and I'd like to find a paper
with a lot of gold in it to set it off. This room adjoins
the glorious wallpaper in my dining room (russet and gold) that I ordered from you, so the colors need to harmonize. As always,
I'd be delighted to see anything you might come up
with!
Enjoy your day!

Dear Northern Friends of Excellent Taste,
I just finished putting up some of your very wonderful
wallpaper in my dining room and wanted to thank you
for making me the envy of our local Olde House Society.
The only drawback is that I may have to refinish our
hardwood floors due to all of the drool marks from
my drop-jawed friends (a small price to pay, indeed!)
In addition to thanking you for such excellent paper,
I was also wondering if you might have any kind of
mailing list so that I could be informed of any new
or clearance items - I just love those bargain prices
on top of Canadian to USD exchange rates!)
I also very much enjoyed exploring your web site--very
good graphics, clearly organized and easily accessed.
Kudos to your webmaster/mistress!
Again, thank you for your excellence. I look forward
to being a repeat customer for many years to come!

Dear All,
I live in Hawaii in a 1920's simple Arts and Crafts
home, however not with the true features of a
Craftsman style Bungalow home. I just wanted to say
how gorgeous your fabrics and wallpaper are and I hope
to be ordering soon. This is the best site and
I just wanted to say aloha and I am enjoying looking
very much. The area I live in is a historic area
with lots of older homes. Does it matter that
a lot of the paper I like were made in the 1890's if
my home was built in the 20's? I really like
the William Morris designs. Thank you and look
forward to a brief response. I am sure you all
are quite busy.
Sincerely, S.S. 2000
I just wanted to send my thanks to your very helpful
staff for taking the time to calculate how much wallpaper
I would need and then making sure that it was delivered
in a very timely fashion!
Though I was told that I shouldn't expect the wallpaper
til mid-January as only one roll was available in your
warehouse, it arrived, in just a few days.
Altogether, your service -- not to mention your product
line – is superior! I wish I could remember
the name of the woman who was so helpful (her first
initial is C), but since I can't, I hope that you can
pass my thanks along to her. Again - thanks very,
very much!
